About Me

Education

Educational History:

I proudly graduated from Hale Center High School in 1991.  After high school, I attended Texas Tech University where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 1995.

Current Position:

I taught Head Start for 3 years right out of college.  Then, I got a Pre-K position at Slaton ISD.  I taught there for 9 years.  From there, I went to Dimmitt ISD for 3 years where I taught Pre-K and Kindergarten.  As of 2012, I have been with Hale Center ISD where I absolutely love teaching 3rd grade.

Family Information:

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Jason, since September 25, 2014.  We have two children:  Sean is a Senior, and Sadie is a 7th grader this year.  Sean is active in athletics and band, and Sadie enjoys playing basketball.  We have a zoo of animals at our house:  5 dogs (Roxy, Apache, Bradley, Tank, and Rowdy) and 10 cats (Smudge, Sugar, Gizmo, Lt., Black Knight, Simba, Loki, Whiskers, Garfield, and Lily).

I actually grew up here in Hale Center and graduated from Hale Center High School in 1991.
I enjoy putting together jigsaw puzzles.
I collect magnets and anything Route 66.
I am a huge NASCAR fan.
I love the color purple and now CAMO.
I worked for Head Start 3 years right out of college.
My husband spent 22 years in the Army.
